Questions about Zambroza
Q: Does Zambroza contain both the fruit and pericarp (rind)
of the Mangosteen?
A: Yes, Zambroza contains all parts of the mangosteen
fruit, seeds fruit and the rare pericarp rind enriched with
Xanthones!
Q: Does Zambroza contain xanthones?
A: Yes, Zambroza
does contain xanthones from Garcinia mangostana (mangosteen). We have
actually uncovered a couple more Xanthones that our U.S. Competitors don't have
in their formulation due to our patented extraction method.
Q: What are Xanthones and why are they beneficial?
A:
Xanthones are a group of active compounds found in the mangosteen and are found
in all parts of the fruit. Zambroza does contain xanthones. However, xanthones
are not the only biologically active substances in the mangosteen or in
Zambroza. Catechins, polyphenols, polysaccharides, vitamins, flavonoids, and
other antioxidants are all active substances in these fruits. Nature’s Sunshine
has compared Zambroza’s antioxidant, polyphenol, and immune activity to our
competitor’s product. Zambroza surpassed the competitor’s product each time, and
in fact shows more than three times the immune-stimulating power of its nearest
competitor.
Q: What is the actual ORAC value of the Zambroza
product?
A: NSP has chosen not to release specific ORAC values for this
product. Comparing ORAC values that have been obtained in different laboratories
does not give a valid comparison. ORAC values can change based on how the
product was analyzed as well as the reference standard used. When one laboratory
conducts ORAC testing using the same parameters, the results can produce a valid
comparison. Independent laboratory testing done on Zambroza and several of its
competitors shows that Zambroza has more than two times the ORAC value of its
nearest competitor.
Q: Why was Zambroza developed?
A: This was
specifically formulated as a highly nutritional drink with many strong
antioxidants. Antioxidants scavenge the free radicals that occur in the body due
to normal metabolism, and also from exposure to toxins such as pollution,
tobacco smoke, ultraviolet light and radiation. If left unchecked, free radicals
can cause cell damage. Antioxidants benefit virtually every organ and body
system because they mop up damaging free radicals. Zambroza delivers the most
potent antioxidant protection of any product of its type on the market.
Q: What does ORAC mean?
A: ORAC stands for Oxygen
Radical Absorbance Capacity. ORAC is a measure of a product’s antioxidant
strength (its ability to neutralize free radicals).
Q: What is Mangosteen and why is it
important?
A. Garcinia mangostana or mangosteen is a fruit found in
eastern tropical countries such as Thailand. The Thai people refer to mangosteen
as the “queen of fruits.” The fruit has a delicious sweetness with a slight
amount of sourness. The dried fruit has been shipped and used medicinally for
many years in China, India, and Singapore. Mangosteen contains xanthones and
powerful antioxidants.
Q: Does the Zambroza formula
have decaffeinated green tea?
A: The green tea in Zambroza is
decaffeinated.
Q: Can you send me a nutritional profile or vitamin breakdown
for the Zambroza product?
A: While the fruits in Zambroza are known to
contain vitamins A, C, and E along with bioflavonoids, carotenoids, polyphenols,
and other healthful compounds, we do not have a specific breakdown of the amount
of vitamins per serving. (Variations occur based on where the fruit grows,
harvest time, and other factors).
Q: Can I mix Zambroza with anything else without affecting
the benefits of this product?
A: Zambroza can be mixed with water and
other liquid drinks. This will not affect the benefits.
Q: Can Zambroza be used with Paw Paw?
A: Yes. When
Nature’s Sunshine first introduced Paw Paw, we cautioned (based on theoretical
considerations) against the concurrent use of antioxidants. Since the launch,
NSP has conducted clinical trials on Paw Paw that have shown antioxidants do not
interfere with the effectiveness of Paw Paw. In fact, it was found Zambroza had
no negative effect on the anticancer activity of Paw Paw and may actually
enhance the cytotoxic activity at higher concentrations. It was also found that
Zambroza alone has some anticancer activity against the HCT-116 cells used in
the study.
Q: Can Zambroza be taken while pregnant or nursing?
A:
There are very few safety precautions for Zambroza. The fruits in this product
have been safely used for many years. However, Nature's Sunshine generally
cannot recommend that a pregnant or nursing woman use any herbs/supplements
without the recommendation of a health care provider.
Q: Can children take Zambroza?
A: Children can safely
take Zambroza. Generally half of the adult amount would be sufficient. There are
really very few safety precautions for this product. These fruits used in
Zambroza have all been used safely for hundreds of years.
Q: What is the carbohydrate content of Zambroza?
A:
There are five grams of total carbohydrates per one ounce serving of Zambroza.
Four of the five grams are sugar carbohydrates.
Q: How many calories per serving of Zambroza?
A: The
Zambroza product contains approximately 20 calories per one ounce serving.
Q: Is Zambroza safe for diabetics to take?
A: All the
sugars in Zambroza are naturally occurring in the raw materials. There is no
refined sugar and no sugar added. This combined with the low dosage (half ounce
/ day) should mean no problem for diabetics. Our experience to date has been
that Zambroza is no problem at all for diabetics, or for anyone with candida or
other yeast or fungal infections.
Q: Can Natures Noni and Zambroza be taken at the same
time?
A: Zambroza and Noni can be taken together. This is actually a good
combination. Both products should help promote energy and vitality although each
person may experience different results.

Why these particular ingredients?
A company with 32 years in the herbal supplement industry has the
experience to optimize this drink to simply be the best product
of its kind on the market. Unlike some competitors, Nature's
Sunshine does not have to hire a third party to develop and produce
their products for them. Nature's Sunshine industry-renowned
scientists worked on this product for about a year--pulling together
herbs/fruits with well-known health benefits. They optimized
the exact concentrations to achieve the best result--something that
few companies have the ability to do...and independent lab
tests prove it!
Unlike some competitive products, the ingredients were NOT
chosen to be cheap "fillers", nor to improve taste, nor
to improve the texture of the drink. Each and every
ingredient was chosen because of a specific health benefit and to
complement the action of the main ingredient mangosteen.

What kind of testing does Nature's Sunshine perform on Zambroza?
Nature's Sunshine has long had a reputation for producing the purest
herbal supplements in the world. This requires much testing
that competitors have neither the personnel, experience, equipment,
time, nor finances to do. First, during development, the product
is carefully tested for things like reactions between ingredients,
ability to process without destroying active ingredients, shelf
life, and more. Second, each and every batch of raw ingredients
is tested not only for pesticides and other toxic substances--but
also to ensure that the supplier has not "cheated" and
supplied fruit that does not have the required active compounds
in it. Third, during and after the manufacturing process,
samples of the finished product are tested to ensure that everything
meets Nature's Sunshine's high specifications.

Company
Who is Nature's Sunshine?
Nature's Sunshine Products had a humble beginning--started by Gene
& Kristine Hughes in 1972 in the basement of their home.
They were the first company to ever put pure herbal products into
capsules. Obviously, the idea caught on, and Nature's Sunshine
is the oldest and largest encapsulator of herbs in the world.
Their headquarters is in Provo, UT, and their manufacturing facility
is in Spanish Fork, UT.
What can you tell me about Nature's Sunshine manufacturing
facility?
Nature's Sunshine facility is sometimes used by the Utah Food and
Drug Administration as a model to other companies on how a supplement
manufacturing facility should be operated! As recently as
2002, Nature's Sunshine received the "Supplement Manufacturer
of the Year Award". Their research scientists have their
offices located right there in the manufacturing plant. It
is EXTREMELY clean, well-run, and impressive!
Compensation Plan/Rebates
Do the rebates for buying Zambroza apply only to the first
order?
No! The 10% rebate applies each and every month that
you order at least 135 PV of volume under your account number!
Nature's Sunshine is proud to offer this benefit that the competition
definitely does not. Furthermore, your rebate percentage on
your personal purchases can increase if you share Zambroza with
others and they also order.
If I sponsor people, how many levels deep does your plan
pay?
This question only applies to "unilevel" type plans such
as that used by several competitors. They must offer to go
several layers deep--otherwise the compensation plan loses any attractiveness
at all--except to the people at the top. The Nature's Sunshine
comp plan pays you from 5%-40% on the orders of people that you
bring into the business--not just on the first order--but ALL orders.
It pays out about 59 cents for each dollar of product sold.
The majority of that goes to the distributors who are doing the
most work with those customers. Learn more about the Zambroza
opportunity, or look at the compensation
plan details for more information.
I already have my own account number, and I'm ready to sign
up a new Associate! How do I do that?
We recommend that distributors new to Nature's Sunshine
call their orders in directly to the Canadian office at 800-265-9163.
What if some of my distributors do not perform?
You do not have to have 3 "Legs" of distributors ordering
$200 of product on Autoship each month like one of our main competitors
in order to get maximum commission. The compensation plan
is built so that discontinuity by a successline distributor affects
you minimally.
